Overview
The PRIMARE NP5 PRISMA MK2 brings advanced Prisma network streaming to virtually any stereo or home cinema system equipped with a digital input.
 
Compact and discreet, it connects to an existing DAC, integrated amplifier, preamplifier or AV processor through coaxial RCA or optical Toslink. It supports high-resolution audio up to 192 kHz/24-bit, DSD128 conversion to PCM and MQA passthrough.
 
Prisma technology provides convenient access to stored and streamed music through Ethernet or Wi-Fi, with AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, Chromecast built-in, Roon Ready, Spotify Connect and DLNA/UPnP compatibility.
 
Its RS232 connection can also add Prisma control to compatible previous-generation Primare products, including volume, mute, standby and input selection.
 
Important: the NP5 Prisma MK2 is a digital network transport and does not include a digital-to-analogue converter. It must be connected to equipment featuring a compatible digital input.

The NP5 Prisma MK2 adds Primare’s network technology to existing audio equipment without requiring the replacement of a high-quality amplifier or DAC. It works with Primare components and products from other manufacturers, provided a coaxial or optical digital input is available.

The dedicated Prisma application manages device settings, network storage, playback and compatible multiroom systems. Music can also be selected directly through familiar services and applications using AirPlay 2, Chromecast built-in, Spotify Connect, Roon or Bluetooth.
 
High-resolution digital playback
The player supports WAV, LPCM, AIFF, FLAC, ALAC, WMA and OGG files up to 192 kHz/24-bit. DSD files up to DSD128 are converted to PCM for digital output, while MQA data can be passed through to a compatible external DAC.
 
Flexible digital outputs
Coaxial RCA and optical Toslink outputs allow the NP5 Prisma MK2 to be connected to a wide range of DACs, amplifiers, active loudspeakers and home cinema processors.
 
Upgrade for earlier Primare systems
Through its RS232 Link function, the NP5 Prisma MK2 can control volume, mute, standby and input selection on compatible earlier Primare products from the Prisma application.
 
Compact Scandinavian design
Measuring only 143 mm wide, the NP5 Prisma MK2 can be installed discreetly within an existing system. Its minimalist black enclosure reflects Primare’s Scandinavian “lagom” philosophy: balanced, functional and unobtrusive.
